I have to say our Royal Mail is pretty much first class. With the Mrs blogging we get a lot of parcels delivered. Over time they know when she will be in and what times she is taking the kids to school/nursery so our parcels tend not to get delivered at those times any more

Couriers are pretty much just doing what ever the fuck they like. We had a courier attempt to deliver a parcel 3 times, even though we told them we would pick it up, only for it then to be returned

Yodel and Royal Mail are bad but the worst has to be Hermes who are incapable of delivering anything without fucking it up.

Never had an issue with Hermes. I've sent a lot through them with eBay sales and clothing catalogues. Nothing had ever gone missing and only one item has ever been damaged and they refunded pretty much straight away. I appreciate that it varies massively around the country due to different couriers and I guess I'm particularly lucky with our local one.

I do loathe having couriers deliver... But in defense of the ones ShopTo use, they're quite good.
They text or buzz about an hour before they deliver and tell you what time they will be their, and they're quite punctual.

That's good to hear, my next delivery from them will hopefully be a PS4! Wouldn't want that to be left on the step and half-inched.

Couriers are useless if you work 9-5 Mon - Fri...like quite a lot of people.
They wont do weekends, or after 5pm. If you want it you have to collect it...so its not really a delivery is it?

If you want hardware delivered from shopto on a Saturday it usually costs £25 or so.
I see people not liking Yodel, well you're not alone! I once watched them walk up to my door an post a "sorry we missed you" card through the letterbox without knocking!! Shit themselves when i went out after them!

At work we get daily deliveries from TNT, Yodel, UPS, FedEx, DPD and Parcel Force. While home delivery is generally a different part of the business completely its Yodel that fuck up the most. Whether their high driver turnover rate is the cause or a symptom i don't know.
