You Will Die is the tag line of these games, you will die and die and die and die a whole lot more. Just get used to that and enjoy the ride, it's a fucking good one.

Now that's a box quote if ever I saw one.

As with the souls games I really want to try this but I'm not laying down any real amount of money for something so hard. While I'd probably give it a bit longer than Daz I'd soon fuck it in the bin.

Would need to be a super bargain for me to bite.

Sounds like an intense experience. More importantly, I never played the souls games and have this waiting for me at home. Had to rent it because I know I'm going to be no good at it and will probably bin it off within 10 minutes.

How are people getting on with this now?
Found it quite tough going near the start but after the first 2 or 3 bosses it seems to be a little easier now (I'm probably way over-levelled to make up for my ineptitude!)
Don't think I'll ever master parrying in Bloodborne, couldn't do it in the Souls games and this is no different :-(
Instead I just extend my axe and use the charge attack to wreck everything in sight (spin-to-win :-D )

Daz / Jools, have you had any more success after Lee's masterclass? ;-)
If you're still having a hard time, there's a few things you can do right at the start to make life much easier (levelling up your character before facing the first boss, upgrading your weapon, finding a set of clothes with much better defence, and opening shortcuts to avoid certain areas and make getting back to where you died a lot easier)

Don't be afraid to ask if you're banging your head against a brick wall, we've all been there with these games

I had a bit of a break over Easter, but rest assured my skills are still there :-(

I'm on the third boss... The game is staggeringly beautiful, soul crushingly hard.

there's a few different areas to explore at that time so I just went wandering and levelling up a bit before trying that one again
Spoiler:
Blood Starved Beast I'm guessing?

Bit pissed off that I seem to have missed one of the NPC's early on and can't seem to progress their story now :-(

The missus picked it up for me from work this afternoon.
I'm going bowling tonight so I think I'll stick it on after that and before/after a few episodes of Daredevil.
